2nd Birthday Party
Nemo Under the Water Theme
Here is the invite I made: On the outside Dory is pop out, jelly fish is glued right onto the invite. When you open the invite it pretty much opens up to a 3d pop out of Nemo and some sea weeds. Those took forever to complete, couldn't wait to be done with them. But overall was happy with the outcome of all decor.
This is the cake I made. All decor is made from fondant. All edible. I used Styrofoam in the bottom layers, instead of cake to avoid wasting cake. I had made some mini cakes and cake pops too.
My Husband and I made a wooden water wave stand for all the goodies for kids. I made the pink tissue paper jelly fish (which took forever to complete) I was gonna make 10 to 20 of them, but after taking to much time, I only made the three :( I order some fish online to add to my decor. Our sweet table was about 10 feet long with all sorts of goodies.
Out door Decor: We covered most of the walls with water backdrop and taped fish to them to give a under water feeling. The balloons were tied in rows of string to give a water wave in the air, this way our guests would feel as they are under water. We had a bubble blower on top of our patio roof blowing for an extra addition to the under water party. We added clear balloons to the trampoline to represent bubbles (kids had fun jumping in with them). We made wooden Nemo, Dory, & squirt, but don't have a good visual of them. Round tables had fish net in the center with few shells. I placed some vases in the center with green lighting for night time and tied some clear balloons to them to represent bubbles. We also have added blue lighting around the fencing, so at night it looked like waves. To entertain the kids we had Maria from Joyful Faces doing face painting and balloons for the kids. The kids had a blast!!
